1 Information on how to enter this competition forms part of the conditions of entry. Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Promotional Period and Method of Entry
2 The Promoter of this competition is Foodstuffs (N.Z.) Limited ("Foodstuffs").
3 Entry into this competition is only open to current members of the New World Clubcard programme (“Eligible Entrant”).
4 The promotion runs nationwide and continues on a monthly basis as a separate monthly prize draw (covering the first to last day of each calendar month), until Foodstuffs notifies otherwise (“Promotion Period”).
5 How to enter: To enter, an Eligible Entrant must scan or swipe their New World Clubcard in store at any New World store nationwide, or when you enter your Clubcard details before the time of payment for online shopping purchases at newworld.co.nz/shop or through the New World mobile application, when purchasing groceries (excluding purchases of Christmas Club deposits, gift cards, prepaid debit cards, travel card top ups, phone card top ups, tobacco products, New Zealand Lotteries tickets and purchases paid for through charge accounts or purchases intended for wholesale or resale) during the Promotion Period. One scan of a Clubcard with purchase gives one (1) entry into the relevant monthly prize draw. There is no limit to the number of entries provided all conditions of entry are met.
Prizes and Draws
6 Every month during the Promotion Period, there will be three prizes of 100 New World Dollars available to be won from all Eligible Entrants who have entered this competition in accordance with clause 5.
7 During the first week of every month during the Promotion Period, three winners will be randomly drawn from those who have entered the competition in accordance with clause 5, during the preceding calendar month.
8 Each prize of 100 New World Dollars will be loaded onto a winner’s Clubcard within 14 days of a winner being drawn and can be used in-store at any New World store as a form of payment.
9 New World Dollars and this promotion are subject to the Clubcard Terms and Conditions. You’ll need to set up a PIN on your Clubcard before you can use your New World Dollars. Set up a PIN online at clubcard.co.nz or call the Clubcard Helpline on 0800 80 70 70 during normal business hours.
10 The prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or negotiable and are not redeemable for cash.
11 Each monthly winner will be notified by Foodstuffs using the email address or telephone number recorded against a winner’s Clubcard membership.
12 In the event that a winner cannot be contacted within 7 days of a prize draw occurring or if Foodstuffs determines that a winner is not eligible to win a prize, the prize will be forfeited and another winner drawn.
13 Foodstuffs is not responsible if a winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable time period following the draw due to incorrect or out of date contact details being recorded against their Clubcard membership. You may update your information at any time online or by contacting the Clubcard Helpline on 0800 80 70 70 during normal business hours.
Eligibility and Promotion
14 A winner consents to use of their name and image for publicity and promotional purposes (including the display of their name in New World stores, on the New World website and other promotional materials related to this competition) and will upon request make themselves available for promotional and publicity photographs.
15 A winner grants Foodstuffs and New World stores a non-exclusive and transferable licence to use and reproduce any competition photographs, media coverage or other promotional material involving use of their name or image.
16 Foodstuffs reserves the right to request that a winner provides proof of identity or proof of purchase. Foodstuffs also reserves the right to disqualify any entrant, for any valid reason as determined and defined by them and including but not limited to tampering with the entry process and/or submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Liability
17 Subject to any applicable laws which cannot be excluded, neither Foodstuffs, New World or any other person or party associated with this competition shall be liable for:
- any loss or damage whatsoever incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss and including loss caused by negligence);
- personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this competition or the use or acceptance of any prize offered;
- errors resulting from computer hardware, software or telecommunications errors or failure; or
- fraudulent entry into or participation in this competition.
18 Foodstuffs’ decision will be final. No correspondence concerning any decision made by Foodstuffs will be entered into.
19 Foodstuffs reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the competition and these terms and conditions at any time.
Personal Information
20 All entries remain the property of Foodstuffs and will be dealt with in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and these terms and conditions. Your personal information may be used to conduct this competition and for future promotional and publicity purposes in relation to this competition. By entering this competition, you consent to the use of your personal information for these purposes. You have the right to access your personal information and request correction of any errors in it pursuant to the Privacy Act 2020. Foodstuffs’ New World Privacy Policy will apply to all personal information that we collect from you.
